Mr. Andrew Mercieca MD MSc (Leeds) MRCS (Edin) FEBU FESM

Mr Andrew Mercieca graduated from the University of Malta as a medical doctor in 2001. He became a Member of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2005 and a registered Urologist in 2012 after obtaining the Fellowship of the European Board of Urology. He also is a Fellow of the European Committee in Sexual Medicine since 2014 after graduating from the Oxford European Society of Sexual Medicine. He is responsible for the Male Urology Reproductive Health Clinic at Mater Dei Hospital, Malta, since its inception in 2014.

In 2016 Mr Andrew Mercieca graduated with distinction with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Embryology from the University of Leeds. He holds a consultancy role at Mater Dei Hospital in Urology with special Interest in Male Infertility since 2022.  He regularly advices the Embryo Protection Authority on topics related to Male Reproductive Health and subsequent legislation.  He is a member of clinical boards related to Assisted Reproductive Technology.  Mr Mercieca is responsible for males suffering from male factor infertility, especially those who together with their partner are undergoing Assisted Reproduction. He is also the link person with the Malta Sperm Bank. Mr Mercieca also manages patients with general urological pathologies and oncology.

Andrew is married to Deborah and has 4 sons.
