Dr. Michael Boffa graduated in Medicine from the University of Malta in 1986 and trained in Dermatology in London and Manchester. He has been Consultant Dermatologist since 1996; initially in Bradford, UK and since 1997, in Malta in public and private practice. Dr. Boffa is President of the Maltese Association of Dermatology and Venereology, Postgraduate Training Coordinator in Dermatology and Venereology and Senior Lecturer in Dermatology at the University of Malta. He is also an elected member of the Malta Medical Council and Founder President of the Malta Eczema Society. Dr Boffa was Board Director representing Malta in the European Academy of Dermatology & Venereology (EADV) between 2009 and 2015 and is currently Chairman of the EADV Honours & Awards Committee. His interests in dermatology include systemic therapies for psoriasis, cutaneous oncology and laser dermatology.

The public Dermatology Department in Malta is located at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, Floriana which is named after Dr. Boffa’s late great-uncle who was a medical doctor and Prime Minister of Malta between 1947 and 1950. Dr Boffa is married to Véronique and has 3 children.
