Dr Emma Saliba graduated with a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Malta in 2015.  She is currently a Basic Specialist Trainee (BST3) in Psychiatry.  Dr Saliba obtained a distinction in her diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and followed a course in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).

Dr Saliba was selected to attend the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) School on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Venice, Italy. She has participated in a two week exchange programme at CAMHS Temple Street Liaison Hospital, in Dublin, Ireland and attended a taster week at Parklands Hospital, Basingstoke, United Kingdom.

Dr Saliba has organised the implementation of the Mental Health and High School Curriculum Guide in Malta. This involved liaising with the Ministry of Education to bring Canadian Senator Professor Stanley Kutcher to deliver the training.

Moreover, she has presented at both local and international conferences, including the European Psychiatry Association (EPA) in Nice, France and the European Symposium on Suicide and Suicidal Behaviour (ESSSB) in Ghent, Belgium.
