Dr Caroline Gouder MD MRCP(UK) Spec Cert (Resp Med) works as a specialist registrar in the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Mater Dei Hospital. She graduated as Doctor of Medicine and Surgery in 2004 and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2008. She completed her training in general (internal) medicine in 2013 and respiratory medicine in 2015. She has attended several courses and conferences in the field and has several publications in local and international journals. She is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta. In addition, she has developed a number of local hospital guidelines and leaflets for the Respiratory Department.

She has a special interest in severe asthma and manages the Omalizumab service at Mater Dei Hospital which she set up since its availability in 2012. Her other main interest is allergy in which she is furthering her studies.
