Dr Borg graduated from the University of Malta in 1997, and was awarded an MD from the University of Manchester in 2009.  He obtained his specialist certification in Cardiology in Manchester, UK, and has been working as a consultant since 2012. His subspecialty interest is cardiovascular imaging, and he runs the local imaging service, including advanced echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance and cardiac CT. Dr Borg currently holds a post of Consultant Cardiologist at Mater Dei Hospital, Malta, Honorary Senior Lecturer at University of Malta, National Training Co-ordinator for Cardiology, and represents the Maltese Cardiac Society on the European Society of Cardiology Education Board.
