Thankfully we now have a plethora of imaging modalities which permit the accurate assessment of heart structure and function. This Session provides an overview of several cardiac imaging modalities available including their respective uses, advantages and disadvantages as well as patient characteristics which have to be kept in mind when making a decision on which cardiac imaging modality to use in particular clinical scenarios.
